March 15, 2008 - Cleburne Memorial The 24th Annual.

This day is set aside to honor one of the greatest Generals of the "War Between the States"! This is your opportunity to say thank you in person to Gen. Cleburne. The ceremony will start at 11:00 and last about 40 minutes. All branches of military and period impressions welcome. The Cleburne SCV Camp #1433, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, hosts this event annually. This year's event it is co-sponsored with two other camps the Shaver Camp #1655, of Jonesboro and the Newton Camp #197, of Little Rock. Civilian and ladies' welcome.

Join folks from around the state on Saturday March 22, 2008 for Confederate Flag Day/Heritage Day, Arkansas State Capital. It starts with a reading of those who gave their life to preserve the Confederacy at 11:30.

100th year Anniversary of Battlefield Park (1908-2008)
& 75th Arkansas State Parks Anniversary

December 6th - December 7th

"Battle of Prairie Grove" Re-enactment 146th anniversary of the Battle of Prairie Grove will be celebrated with the unveiling of a new original oil painting by Andy Thomas, who will be onsite to sign limited edition prints of the painting that will be for sale. Re-enactors and spectators alike participate in guided tours through the Union, Confederate, and civilian camps; various military drills, cooking, spinning, lace making demonstrations, and living history programs.

Battle demonstrations begin at 1 p.m. each day, featuring charges and counter-attacks by Union and Confederate infantry and cavalry on the actual battlefield near the historic Borden House. Re-enactors contact the park to register. Admission: Free. Parking $4 per vehicle.
