Camp PricevillePosted by Dorene ford on July 21, 2001 at 20:31:33:
Bryan it's me again. I'm still wondering about the measles eppademick that killed so many of our men. Why would they discharge a man knowing that he was dying? The ones that said discharged at Camp Priceville, where they in the hospital there or in someones home? Did they mark the graves? Is there a record of where each one was buried? How would I go about finding my great great granfathers grave? Was the families told that their man had died of this desease? Or did they just think they had been killed in battle? Were the families intitaled to a pension after they gave them a discharge like that? How do I get more information on this? I know it's a lot of questains, but there is a lot more in my head. I apppreciate you help. Dorene
