John Quincy Burbridge, after his service in the MO State Guard, as described by Tom, commanded the 2nd MO Infantry Regiment, and then the 4th MO Cavalry Regiment. You might consult Phillip T. Tucker's book, The South's Finest, for his record with the 1st MO Brigade, which also includes a photo of him in uniform.
