Arkansas Post Museum and National Park Gillett, Arkansas County, Arkansas   This is a great park for hiking, picnicking, and light fishing (fishing license required).  This site is also really great if you have someone wheel-chair bound that wants to enjoy nature - approx. 1 mile of the trail has a great concrete pathway to view nature comfortably without mishap.  Bring bug spray and be prepared for snakes.  The snakes we saw were more than happy to let us pass on by but you do need to watch for them!  If you are coming in from Dumas...that is going to be your last major stop for gas and fast food.  There is a small town - Backgate that has gas, but I didn't have time to check it out.
