That’s right, our conference will be held in Historic Gettysburg, PA. home of the premier Civil War battlefield. Our conference hotel is the beautiful Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel (95 Presidential Circle; Gettysburg, PA 17325). Through special arrangements we have procured a discounted room rate of $124/night, single, double, triple, or quad occupancy for a standard double queen or king or [regularly $139-$169/night] for suites (+15% local & state tax). These rates will be good for two days prior to and two days after the conference dates and includes a complimentary breakfast. YOU need to contact the hotel directly to book your room (1-717-339-0020) and be sure to mention that you are attending the Society of Civil War Surgeons, Inc. 20th National Conference (Code: SOCWS) to receive the discounted rate. Contact information for the hotel is as follows: 95 Presidential Circle; Gettysburg, PA 17325; Fax: 717-339-0020. You will need to make your room reservations NLT March 11, 2013 in order to receive our special rates. After that date, any unclaimed rooms will be let go and you will have to pay the regular room rate, if rooms are available. The Wyndham is a full service hotel with room service and a full service restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. To see the hotel and its offerings, visit
IMPORTANT: It is very important that you register with our conference hotel, rather than with another hotel, because of certain amenities that the hotel is providing based on the number of room nights booked. The Harrisburg Airport is approximately 45 miles from the hotel. The Washington DC airports are approximately 2 hours distance.
Local attractions are too numerous to list here. There are numerous shopping and dining opportunities in the local area.
